Thank you for your visit to my website. I am a hobby photographer currently based in Linz, Austria. My photographic "home base" used to be for many years and still is (but less frequently) the "Lobau" and the National Park Donauauen, east of Vienna. I was living nearby until 2007.

I am generally drawn to landscape photography, but I often focus on the smaller scenes and details and I find interest in the patterns and forms that can be found in nature, but also in urban environments. I like to observe and explore. Rarely the scenes I deal with are spectacular as such, but part of my drive and fascination for photography is to extract and reveal the aesthetics which are implicitly hidden in a common scene. An unexpected discovery that catches my - mind's - eye.

My current equipment is a Canon EOS 5D (the "old" one) and the following lenses:

- Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM
- Canon EF 70-200mm 1:4 L IS USM
- Canon EF 100mm 1:2.8 USM
- Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 II
- Canon TS-E 45mm 1:2.8
- Monochrom Subjektiv (Pinhole, Zone plate; used for some of the "Abstracts and Experiments")

I use Photoshop as an integral part of the process - to reveal. Manipulation? Yes, of course!
